I
seem to have had a lifetime of trying things and not completing.
Even if
the idea works, the idea may not bear fruit for me. This segment may give
you some ideas that you could use. |

Work in Progress - Hexagon Star
Made with hexagon papers with ½"
side.
This piece will measure 17" x 19".
Make it with 1" a side papers for about a meter square.
Pre-cut papers are $6 per 100.
I started with 25cm each of 6 fabrics. |

I have tried an experiment using an appliqué pattern,
trace the picture; outline it with pigma pen, colour it in with Derwent
coloured pencils, and iron it on the wrong side to heat set. |
|
Another good idea is to bead
a picture.
I have done it with a butterfly.
Cut out a picture from a cotton fabric, paint the edges with Fray Stop or
Fray Check, then tack it to your background fabric. Use Pellon to
strengthen the fabric, tack al the layers together. Then sew beads all
around the edges; and colour it in with beads. Voila! Great on a bag or
part of a quilt. |
