We can supply kits in a colourway to suit your special requirements.

Notes

1.  This pattern is not detailed and therefore not for beginners, although it is a very easy quilt.

2.  Prewash and iron all fabrics for shrinkage as you don't want the cover to fall apart in the first wash.

3.  Overlock or zigzag all seams.

4.  Use ¼" seams throughout.

Complete doona cover measures 220cm square, or 88" square

Making

Sew the strips for the blocks in strips - 6 different strips for one set.

You will have 9 lots of 6 strips.

Iron these with the seams all going toward the dark fabric.

Measure across the strips (should be 12 cut each strip into squares.

If they measured 12¼", you will make your squares 12¼" square.

Join these blocks to make the centre section, referring to the photo.

Add borders in order - the 4", the 2" and the 7".

Press this section, and use the light weight fabric to back it.

You may sew through all the layers around the blocks to reinforce this section.

With right sides together sew the backing all around, leaving 1.1m (44")

open at one end.

Turn through to the right side and insert the zip.

If you are using two zips, have them end to end with the open ends together

Enjoy!
